Several urban-infrastructure projects will be carried out by GENIVAR in the Toronto Region.
GENIVAR’s Water Resources Engineering Group is undertaking the design and construction supervision of two (2) separate CSO Storage Facilities in the City of St. Catharines. One is the 2500 cu. m Lockview CSO Storage Facility for the Regional Municipality of Niagara and the other the 920 cu.m Page/Ida/Berryman CSO Storage Facility for the City of St. Catharines. The purposes of these facilities are to eliminate basement flooding and reduce CSO to meet the MOE F-5-5 Guidelines. Both projects will include preliminary and detailed designs, public consultation, approvals, tendering, contract administration and site inspections.
Summary description of other mandates:
- Preparation of a Water and Wastewater Master Plan to access future water distribution, wastewater collection, water treatment and wastewater treatment needs for the Region of York over the next 20 years.
- Predesign, detailed design and construction administration of process upgrades to the Timmins Water Treatment Plant.
- Detailed design and construction administration of capacity upgrades to the Havelock Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Predesign of a 380 ML/d water treatment plant retrofit, including membranes, UV disinfection and GAC filters, at the Lorne Park Water Treatment Plant in the Region of Peel.
